Credit Card Recommendation
Here are some of our favorite credit cards that offer great flexibility and the best bonus offers out there. We’ll share our honest opinions on each one to help you choose the right card for you!
The Chase Sapphire Preferred
“Get up to $1,050 in Chase Travel value.”
“Earn 60,000 bonus points after $4,000 in purchases in your first 3 months from account opening. That’s worth $750 when redeemed through Chase Travel. Plus, get up to $300 in statement credits on Chase Travel purchases within your first year.”
Our opinion:
The value of this bonus is outstanding. The statement credit alone ($300) will pay for the card’s annual fee for 3 years. On top of that, 60000 Chase points is $600 in cash back value. If you use it for travel it’s $750. I highly suggest you sign up for this card before it’s gone. The bonus is usually 50000 points WITHOUT the $300 Chase Travel credit. The Penfed Pathfinder Rewards
“4X points on travel and 1.5X on all else, plus 50K points for $3,000 spend in the first 90 days.”
“Receive statement credits up to $100 per calendar year toward incidental air travel fees such as baggage fees, flight-change fees, in-flight food and beverage purchases, airport lounge day-passes and more.”
“Max $120 credit for purchases of Global Entry or TSA PreCheck®. Up to $100 credit for domestic ancillary travel fees.”
“Annual Fee: $95 (waived for existing PenFed Honors Advantage Members)”
Our opinion:
If you open a PenFed checking account or if you are currently serving or have served in the military, the annual fee for this card is waived. This means you benefit from a $100 statement credit for travel fees each year. Additionally, you receive a $120 credit for Global Entry, allowing you to keep your shoes on while going through security! You'll also enjoy lounge access through Priority Pass, giving you the opportunity to eat and drink for free before your flight. To top it all off, you receive 50,000 points, which I value at $400 in cash back due to the limited options for redemption. Overall, you'll come out ahead by keeping this card long-term.
